La Labranza & El Pajar cottages, beautiful place for countryside holidays in the canaries: La Labranza is a country cottage with two units which can hold up to 5 persons each. It is located in Santa Lucia de Tirajana, beautiful place in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands Opt. exclusiva: Sustained by the myth of the 'Afortunadas' (The Canary Islands) and by the transatlantic currents to which they must submit, the Canaries have consolidated their appeal for centuries, an appeal which today attracts millions of visitors a year. Tourism is the engine of the Canary Islands’ economy. The natural conditions of the archipelago have favoured the development of this economic sector and the arrival of support for the sociologicial and technological changes has permitted the possibility of travelling to wherever one wishes to go. The mildness of the Canarian climate, their beaches and, once again, their strategic situation have been the other determining factors in converting them into one of the main sun and beach tourist destinations in the World. However, the Canaries offer the tourist much more than sun and beaches. The pages of this section intend to show the riches that the Canary Islands have to offer the tourist. More than five hundred beaches entice sun-worshippers to the 1,114 kilometres of coast around the Canarian Archipelago. Diversity is the main characteristic of the coast, where you can find, on the one hand, beaches of fine golden sand, and on the other, rugged areas where you can only swim in the natural pools which form between the rocks. The sea that surrounds the islands is affected by the Canaries Cold Current and by the surfacing of deep waters which are produced on the nearby African coast. These elements ensure that the superficial temperature of the water varies throughout the year and from one end of the archipelago to the other and with differences of more than three degrees between Fuerteventura, the closest island to Africa, and El Hierro, the furthest away. The top lying waters, between sea level and a depth of 150 metres, are warm with temperatures which oscillate between 18 and 23 degrees in February, the coldest month, and between 22 and 26 degrees in August, the hottest month. .

Located between palm and olive trees in the centre of Santa Lucia de Tirajana town in Gran Canaria, this is a site privileged by nature, where such beautiful environment blends its footpaths up to the top of the mountains and down through the valleys to the sea.
